Finals:

April 20, 2022

The finals had the two expected teams, but not with the players that had made the rivalry in recent years.  Eva Lisec was the only player who was subject to foreign player limits in the game and she proved to be the difference for Dynamo Kursk in a 68-44 win on Wednesday.  Ekaterinburg will have to rally to avoid falling into a bigger hole when they host again on Friday.

The four teams at the bottom of the standings will play a pair of round-robin tournaments to finish their seasons.  The first started on Thursday in Rostov-on-Don and Daria Kurilchuk and Samara won 96-58 over Spartak Noginsk.  The hosts had the lead heading into the final quarter when Dynamo Moscow mounted a comeback to win 71-69.  Spartak Noginsk was in position to get a rare win in the first game on Friday, but Dynamo Moscow recovered in the final quarter to win 68-64.  The other game had no shortage of scoring as Eleonora Oleynikova and Southern Federal University forced overtime, but Natalya Yasivichene and Anna Zaitceva led Samara to a 102-100 win.  Daria Kolosovskaya and Samara have a substantial lead on the rest of the group after Saturday’s 92-73 win over Yana Panevina and Dynamo Moscow.  Ekaterina Kubynina and Spartak Noginsk are no closer to a win after losing to the hosts 78-58.
