The last game of the season was on Saturday in Sfantu Gheorghe.  After losing twice on the road, Britney Jones and Sepsi took an early lead and never looked back in a 78-60 win over Andreona Keys and Arad to capture another championship in front of a big crowd.

A championship was on the line again on Wednesday in Arad.  Andreona Keys helped the hosts avoid elimination again with a 67-63 win over to send the series back to Sfantu Gheorghe for the deciding game and a chance to pull off one more spectacular upset.

On Tuesday, Arad needed a win at home to extend the season and despite losing their early lead by halftime, they did better out of the break to win 67-61.  They will hosts Sepsi again on Wednesday needing a win again.

On Thursday, Andreona Keys and Arad managed to hang for a half in Sfantu Gheorghe, but Shaqwedia Wallace took the lead for Sepsi in an 84-68 win.  Arad will now need to win at home on Tuesday to stay in championship contention.

Mihaela Burcica and Alexandria looked like they were going to extend the series early on Thursday, but Alexis Cortez and Ruth Sherrill helped Sirius control the rest of the game to complete the sweep 81-63 in Targu Mures.

On Tuesday, Satu Mare shook off disappointment and not having their star by taking a lead after halftime on their win to a 65-52.  Constanta will need a win at home on Friday to stay in contention for the bronze medal.

The consolation bracket continued play on Tuesday with teams looking to avoid elimination or advance to the final round.  Alexandria took a big halftime lead on their way to knocking out Cluj-Napoca 63-51.  Targu Mures had done the hard work with a win on the road in the first game and fended off Jaiamoni Welch-Coleman and Targu Secuiesc 65-59 at home to also sweep.

Semifinals:

Each series continued on Monday with teams looking to avoid elimination and play again tomorrow.  Phoenix had played Britney Jones and Sepsi closer than expected, but lost 76-70 in Constanta to be swept.  Arad could advance with a win at home, but Satu Mare did not want to make it easy as Andreona Keys rallied the hosts in front of a solid crowd for a 60-55 win and a chance at a championship.

Semifinals:

The teams met in the same venues on Friday and Sepsi had an easier time with Constanta in their second game, winning 75-56 to need only one win to advance when they hit the road on Monday.  Sparkle Taylor and Satu Mare had a solid start as they were trying to even the series, but Arad would not quit again and fought back for the rest of the game to win 77-73 and give themselves two chances to advance at home.

Both of these series started on Friday.  Myriam Lara led Alexandria past Cluj-Napoca 65-47.  The other series had a switch in venues for the first two games, but Rebecca Lipovan and Targu Mures did still take a lead on the road with a 57-54 win in Targu Secuiesc.  The winners will look for sweeps when they play on Tuesday.

Both series started on Thursday as the first two games of the best of five format will be played on consecutive days at the same venue.  Sepsi is the favorite, but they had to rally in the second half behind Britney Jones and Brianna Fraser to win 75-68 against Constanta in the first game in Sfantu Gheorghe.  The other series is expected to be a good one and the first game showed plenty of promise as Stephanie Kostowicz and Satu Mare took the lead at home after halftime, but Arad, which had started the game strong, came back in the final frame thanks to the trio of Brankica Hadzovic, Tereza Vitulova, and Andreona Keys to win 95-93.
