This round was supposed to start with a game on Thursday, but San Martino di Lupari had multiple virus cases and declined to have the players that tested negative make the trip to Campobasso for precautionary reasons, providing the first conflict in how this situation should be handled in accordance with league rules for postponement.  Virus issues claimed more games, including Saturday’s game between Sassari and Sesto San Giovanni.  Three more games were claimed on Sunday, leaving only two that were actually played as scheduled.  Laura Spreafico led Costa Masnaga past Virginia Galbiati and Broni 68-61.  Kayla Thornton paced Venezia in a 66-58 win over Moncalieri.

The round wrapped around the holiday depending on continental play and the first game was Wednesday with Maria Miccoli and Lucca having the strong second half for a 72-67 win over Awak Kuier and Ragusa.  There was already concern about being able to play on Thursday with Venezia, but their opponent Empoli had virus cases that postponed that game and Sesto San Giovanni’s test results also prevented them from being able to play Campobasso.  One of the games scheduled for Sunday could not be played, but Shae Kelley did lead San Martino di Lupari past Faenza 64-54.  Both games scheduled for Monday were played, starting with Brianna Turner leading Bologna past Costa Masnaga 76-56.  Jasmine Keys was impressive for Schio in their 85-69 win over Sassari, which was led by Maggie Lucas and Jessica Shepard again.

The round started on Friday with Zada Williams having a good game for Empoli, but Costa Masnaga left with a 74-59 win.  Virus test results meant that only two of the four games scheduled for Saturday could be played.  It was the same story for Sassari with Jessica Shepard and Maggie Lucas taking control and they won 95-80 over Nina Dedic, Tijana Krivacevic, and Broni.  Ivana Raca and Sesto San Giovanni forced overtime and with Bologna’s star being completely out of rhythm, prevailed 60-53.  On Sunday, Blake Dietrick and Sydney Wiese led Lucca past San Martino di Lupari 85-73.  Campobasso built a big lead on Faenza and coasted to a 72-62 win.
