Israeli League Finals Game 5 April 25th

The last game of the season was in Ashdod on Monday and Allison Hightower and the hosts looked to be in good position to win the championship after the first half.  In a series lacking road wins, it was the two players who had helped keep Elitzur Ramla stable through roster moves all season long in Emma Cannon and Alyssa Baron who helped them have a strong second half and grab the championship with a 77-73 win.

Israeli League Finals Game 4 April 18th

The series continued on Monday with Elitzur Ramla trying to stay in contention at home and Maccabi Ashdod trying to close out the series.  Crystal Dangerfield and Emma Cannon led the hosts as they looked solid early.  Victoria Vivians paced the visitors as they looked poised to win the title several times, but fell just short 70-69.  The teams will now have an entire week before the deciding game next Monday.

The series continued on Thursday with each team looking for the advantage.  It was Maccabi Ashdod that got the edge after the visitors lost a player early, winning 69-55.  Crystal Dangerfield led Elitzur Ramla, which will now host on Monday to try to extend the season.

On Monday, Elitzur Ramla knew that they needed to avoid falling into a hole in the series at home and they started on fire between Emma Cannon and Crystal Dangerfield to roll to an 85-55 win.  Maccabi Ashdod will need to find focus again when they host the next game on Thursday.

The championship series started on Thursday and expectations that it would be a good one were met early with the opener going back and forth and into overtime.  Maccabi Ashdod was led by Victoria Vivians again as they prevailed 77-72 with Elitzur Ramla missing the chance to steal a game on road as they now prepare to host on Monday.

This series had more than lived up to expectations and the deciding game on Monday was no different as Jennie Simms tried to get Hapoel Rishon Lezion the win at home.  After trailing at halftime, Alyssa Baron and Emma Cannon helped Elitzur Ramla take the lead after the break and play the final frame even to advance with an 81-79 win.

Only one series needed another game on Thursday.  Crystal Dangerfield and Emma Cannon were everywhere for Elitzur Ramla as they looked to close out the series at home, but Jennie Simms and Hapoel Rishon Lezion had more balanced contributions in the whole starting lineup as they won 72-69 to force a deciding game at home on Monday.

After the playoffs took a break to finish the cup, both series continued on Monday.  Krystal Vaughn and Maccabi needed a win at home to avoid elimination, but Victoria Vivians was key again for Maccabi Ashdod and the team looks more frightening now that it is returning to full strength after completing the sweep 79-68.  The series had both teams looking for the advantage and Jennie Simms tried to carry Hapoel Rishon Lezion again fresh off of their cup win, but Crystal Dangerfield and Emma Cannon teamed up to get Elitzur Ramla the 80-74 win and the chance to clinch at home on Thursday.

Israeli Cup Final March 24th

The final game was played on Thursday in Tel Aviv after the cup final for youth teams.  As has been the case all season, Jennie Simms led Hapoel Rishon Lezion and while Danielle Adams and Alexis Jones were solid for Elitzur Holon, they fell 77-69 and could not end the season on a winning note.  The victors now return to focusing on also winning the league.

Israeli Cup Semifinals March 21st

The last games of the cup were played at a single neutral site starting with the semifinals on Monday.  The two most consistent teams this season played first and it was Jennie Simms and Kristi Bellock who helped Hapoel Rishon Lezion past Bernice Mosby and Maccabi Haifa 81-68.  Elitzur Holon was the only one of the four remaining teams that did not have the playoffs on their mind as well and their game was an excellent one with Rennia Davis making the difference in a 74-71 win as Kelsey Bone led Maccabi Ashdod against her previous team.
