The lower seeds hosted the midweek games with the hopes of keeping their championship aspirations alive. On Tuesday, Wasserburg felt good about their chances at reclaiming glory after their first game, but a big effort from young Leonie Fiebich was not enough against Karin Kuijt and Herner, which left with an 86-71 win and the sweep. On Wednesday, Marburg was fighting to extend their series, but Keltern took the lead for good in the fourth quarter to win 66-59.
