French League Round 9 December 5th-11th

The last game from Round 5 was played on Sunday with neither team involved in cup play and it was Bourges that won 76-62 over Landes.  This round was played on Saturday and started with an overtime thriller as Marine Johannes helped Lyon force the extra period, but Lattes Montpellier prevailed 81-78.  Lexie Brown was incredible from distance for Charnay, but Bourges still won 85-67.  Hainaut came back for a 57-55 win to keep Tarbes at the bottom of the standings.  Villeneuve won 74-65 at Roche.  Regan Magarity and Marie-Eve Paget teamed up to lead Landes past Angers 72-62.  Tima Pouye fired Charleville past Landerneau 83-56.

French League Round 8 November 27th-28th

Half of the games in this round were on Saturday, including Lyon’s 74-63 win over Charnay.  It took overtime for Hainaut to finish off Olivia Epoupa and Lattes Montpellier 82-81.  Ornella Bankole and Tiffany Clarke led Roche in a 93-80 win over Landes.  On Sunday, Bourges breezed past Tarbes 82-52.  Alexis Peterson was impressive in Angers’s 79-71 win over Charleville.  After a close first quarter, Villeneuve ended the day with a comprehensive 76-42 defeat of Landerneau.

There was a full round on the Saturday after the international break starting with Sydney Wallace leading Lattes Montpellier past Lexie Brown and Charnay 76-57.  Lyon strengthened over the break and came back with a 74-54 win over Tarbes.  Bourges welcomed a player back in their 82-46 win over Hainaut.  There were also promising signs for Charleville in a 69-57 win over Villeneuve.  Landes played well after the break too in a 78-49 win over Landerneau.  Angers just edged Roche 76-74.

A full round of games was played on Saturday before the international break as Villeneuve beat Tarbes 81-50 in the early game.  Charleville was back at full strength and looked good in an 86-54 win over Charnay.  Landes also added another player in a 79-70 win over Hainaut, which got a brilliant effort from Laura Juskaite.  Angers had played well all season, but had a tough time with Bourges, losing 90-63.  Lyon rolled past Roche 95-61.  Landerneau edged Lattes Montpellier 74-68

All games in this round were played on Saturday except for one that was pushed pack to the cup weekend.  The early game was an 86-70 win over Lattes Montpellier over Roche.  After a close first quarter, Lyon rolled past Angers 90-57.  Villeneuve edged Hainaut 63-60.  Magali Mendy helped Charleville escape Tarbes 71-69.  The last game to finish saw Charnay get to full strength in an 87-74 win over Landerneau.

French League Round 3 October 16th-17th

Saturday’s games started with a 75-66 Landes win at Lattes Montpellier.  Charnay edged Jasmine Bailey and Angers 75-70 for their first win and to hand the visitors their first loss after a dream start following promotion.  Hainaut also won their first game, but it took overtime to take care of Landerneau 61-58.  Charleville had the better second half in Bourges to win 76-71.  On Sunday, Clementine Samson and Ana Tadic led Tarbes to their first win 83-78 over previously undefeated Roche.  Lyon nearly managed to fail to win again, but held off a Villeneuve team that had started their season on fire 60-59.

The round started on Saturday with Villeneuve crushing Lattes Montpellier 80-48.  It took overtime for Alexis Peterson and Iva Slonjsak to help Angers finish a comeback win over Tarbes 81-76.  Ziomara Morrison paced Roche in a 90-65 win over Hainaut.  Teana Muldrow had a good game for Landerneau, but Bourges left with a 78-53 win.  Lyon looked poor again in a 95-69 loss to Charleville.  The round finished on Sunday with a 70-46 win for Landes over Charnay.

French League Round 1 October 1st-3rd

The season started on Friday with Bourges hosting Roche and Isabelle Yacoubou helped the home team build a lead before Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis and the rest of the starting lineup for the visitors was strong in an 82-80 comeback win.  On Saturday, Johanna Muzet made her professional debut for Charnay, but they had a tough time with Villeneuve, losing 90-48.  Angers had a promising return to the top division, winning 73-58 at Hainaut.  Lyon was looking for a fresh start after a tough end to last season, but it did not look promising early in a 71-64 loss to Landerneau.  Landes ended the day with a 66-55 win at Tarbes.  Sunday’s game had Lattes Montpellier beat Charleville 60-51.
