There was one game last weekend from Round 1 after the opening game was moved to accommodate the Match of Champions.  With most of the rest of the league concentrating on the French Cup Round of 32, Bourges and Lattes Montpellier played the latest installment of their big rivalry with Lattes Montpellier winning 60-55.

Round 6 started on Friday as Lattes Montpellier built a lead that even an on-fire Latoya Williams could not come back from, winning 80-71.  On Saturday, Bourges kept Calais winless with an overwhelming 92-45 win.  Nice continued their surprising undefeated start by edging Mondeville 85-82.  Sunday action started with Landes beating Hainaut 83-66.  Angers beat Nantes 63-60.  Villeneuve is also unbeaten after taking care of Charleville 68-52.  Arras got their first win of the season after escaping Toulouse 83-81.

So all the Australian basketball fans don’t worry yourself! We will be covering the WNBL which I must say is a very competitive league with some great players! Already four games into the season we will pick up from there.  The next round of games will be played this weekend on the 30th and 31st. Stay tuned!

Rutgers Scarlet Knights

Hana Bank of the Korean Women’s Basketball League just boosted their roster with the addition of former Rutgers player Chelsey Lee as a half Korean Player. She last played in the Romanian League for Galati. The Korean league allows for teams to sign players as Korean if they have a parent or grandparent of Korean decent.  According to Chelsey, her grandmother was Korean which makes her eligible to play as one. She was also able to provide documentation proving this. Of course this comes with a lot of controversy
