Both series started on Tuesday with the next games on Friday.  Villeneuve had worked hard during the regular season to secure homecourt advantage for this round even though their roster was not considered as being on the same level as the other three teams.  Aleksandra Crvendakic Lyon showed their strength early, but nearly gave up a big lead for good before recovering to escape with an 80-78 win.  Bourges was wary of an upset again, but an early lead held up in a 77-53 win over Landes.
