The first semifinal series started on Friday with Kayla McBride leading Fenerbahce past Tan White and Cankaya University 86-61.  The other series was supposed to start on Saturday, but a virus outbreak at Galatasaray meant that they could not play Nesibe.  On Sunday, the series that could be played continued with a similar result as Alina Iagupova paced Fenerbahce in an 83-61 win over Tan Whjte and Cankaya University.  On Wednesday, Fenerbahce did not even bother to fill up their foreigner quota in a 60-46 win to complete the sweep of Cankaya University.

Upper Group:

The feature game from this group on Sunday was a good one as Victoria Macaulay and Marina Mabrey helped Herzliya have a strong second half to edge Eden Rotberg, Khaalia Hillsman, and Maccabi Ramat Hen 79-74.  On Monday, Elitzur Holon beat Maccabi Haifa 73-64.  Elitzur Ramla was even more shorthanded than they have been, but Naama Shafir took on a bigger scoring role than usual and Allison Hightower was the one import they had as they got past Khadijiah Cave, Alexis Peterson, and Maccabi Ashdod 79-74.

Spanish League Quarterfinals Game 2 April 3rd-4th

Between games of the series, it was learned that Ensino could not play their second game against Valencia yet, but two series concluded on Saturday.  In Salamanca, Avenida rolled past Gran Canaria 95-62 to push the final margin to 175-123.  Girona also had a big lead from the first game and took it easier in the second game with a 74-67 win over Clarinos still enough for a decisive 153-112 aggregate.  This two-game format certainly changed team approaches to each game as a win at home for Estudiantes game them bigger hopes at an upset.  Gernika had to work hard to overturn that deficit and a late push for a 74-64 win was enough to flip the final margin in their favor 116-111.

European League Final Four April 3rd-4th

Local virus restrictions meant that the two teams from Slovakia could not schedule their semifinals series so Horizont and Nika both advanced to the Final Four in Belarus.  Bernice Mosby and upstarts Prometey tried to make some noise in the first game on Saturday, but it was an experienced hand in Anastasiya Verameyenka that led Horizont to an 84-73 win.  It was a similar matchup in the other game with Ieva Pulvere and Riga looking to defend their title, but Maria Cherepanova and Nika won 72-64.  A positive test for Prometey meant that only one game was played on Sunday.  Kiara Leslie tried to lift Nika to a win in the final, but Anastasiya Verameyenka led Horizont to a 70-60 win, grabbing MVP honors.
