Polish League Round 22 March 2nd-6th

The last two Round 17 games were made up on Wednesday ahead of the final round of games over the weekend.  Stephanie Mavunga and Polkowice had an easy 105-51 win over GTK Gdynia.  Megan Gustafson and Arka Gdynia won the other game 78-57 over Sleza Wroclaw.  The last round started on Friday with Natasha Mack and Lublin’s 61-55 win over Bydgoszcz.  Erica Wheeler and Polkowice clinched the top spot and continued to hold the psychological edge for the playoffs by prevailing 81-78 in overtime over Morgan Bertsch and Arka Gdynia on Saturday.  The final day of games included Gorzow’s 88-63 win over Monika Jasnowska and Sleza Wroclaw.  Aleksandra Pszczolarska and Torun rallied to pull out of last place with a 58-53 win over Jessica January, who secured the points and assists titles, and Zaglebie Sosnowiec.  KK Houser had a good game for Poznan, but they lost to Polonia Warszawa 88-66.
