A midweek round started with a wild game on Tuesday as Aaryn Ellenberg-Wiley got help from Hatay’s new arrival Jazmine Jones to finish a 93-90 comeback win over Kristina Higgins and Izmit. Nesibe was even more shorthanded than their last game and that left them unable to keep up with Fenerbahce in a battle of the teams at the top of the standings won by the visitors 90-55. Ayse Cora fired Botas to an 81-64 win, but at least Kayseri was able to field their full strength roster as they look to claw their way out of the danger zone. Wednesday’s slate started with Victoria Macaulay and impressive Bursa coming back to edge Cankaya University 72-68 despite big games from Elina Babkina and Alexis Prince. G’mrice Davis tried to carry an Antalya team dealing with roster holes, but Teaira McCowan led Orman to a 73-63 win. Galatasaray managed to grind out a 58-43 win over Elazig. Tiffany Hayes and Jasmine Thomas helped Cukurova end the day with an 87-68 win over Besiktas.
