The last day of group play was on Tuesday with both automatic semifinal places on the line. In Group A, the situation was simple with the winner taking the top spot and it was Rebecca Akl who led Lebanon past Syria 83-63. A Jordan win in the other group would avoid the need for tiebreakers and the hosts rolled past Kazakhstan 72-51. The group winners get an extra day of rest before playing on Friday while the rest of the teams will play on Wednesday when the elimination games start.
