The original plan was for fourteen teams with six matchups in this round and two byes. One team withdrew so Alexandria also received a bye. Four series started on Saturday with one concluding on Sunday and the rest of the games in this round were scheduled for midweek. The first game saw Florina Stanici fire Rapid past Targoviste 70-66. Two new teams faced off, but it was Ruth Sherrill that led Targu Mures to a 114-45 win in their return over a young Botosani group as Ruxandra Chis had a triple-double. Antoinette Lewis and Jocelyn Taylor made their professional debuts for Targu Secuiesc, but they lost to Arad, which had a professional debut from Tereza Vitulova, 76-54. The day ended with Renata Kovacs leading Agronomia past Brasov 63-57. It was a quick turnaround for two teams as Arad hosted Targu Secuiesc on Sunday and Brankica Hadzovic led the home team to a 78-70 win over Jaiamoni Welch-Coleman and company to progress 154-124 on aggregate.
