The knockout round started on Wednesday with losing teams eliminated. Nadine Soliman and Egypt started the day with an 85-36 win over Tunisia. The next game was not close either as Djefarima Diawara led Ivory Coast past Guinea 81-50. The next game was the one where a third-place team had the best chance to knock off a second-place team and that ended up being the case as Ingvild Mucauro and Mozambique started well in a 72-50 win over Kenya. The day ended with an 82-65 win for Angola over Jade Leitao and Cape Verde thanks to a fast start.
