The last day of group play had teams contending for the top spots and first-round byes in the elimination stage.  All teams will have Tuesday off with the knockout round starting Wednesday.

Group A:

Cameroon had the tiebreaker advantage from a bigger first win so there was no panic with an early Cape Verde lead before the hosts dominated the rest of the game to win 71-40.
