Group A:
Play started in this group on Tuesday and New Zealand had the early lead, but Japan won 62-50. India kept it respectable for a half before losing to South Korea 107-69. That sets up the expected consequences for Wednesday’s games as Japan and South Korea square off for the top spot and the place in the semifinals and New Zealand and India play for a spot in the knockout round instead of having to play for Division A survival.
