Both semifinals were played on Friday and the first game was not competitive as Serbia never found a rhythm and the United States won 79-59.  France had the better start in the other game, but Japan controlled the rest of the game to win 87-71 behind another fantastic passing effort from Rui Machida to set the single-game assists record.
