The round started on Sunday with Arike Ogunbowale having a promising start for full strength Dynamo Kursk in a 77-63 win over Dynamo Novosbirsk as Japreece Dean made her professional debut for the visitors. Monique Billings and Nadezhda needed a furious comeback to get past MBA 70-69 in Orenburg. Nika had a more favorable matchup for their second game, but had to hang on to beat Spartak Noginsk 64-63 in Syktyvkar. Spartak Moscow was the last team to start their season, getting the tough assignment on Tuesday of an Ekaterinburg team with its full domestic contingent and using all of their foreign player slots to roll to a 90-50 win. Peyton Williams made her professional debut and Jaylyn Agnew made her overseas debut for the hosts.
