The cup competition started with the quarterfinals on Thursday. Alisia Jenkins and MTK eliminated Maegan Conwright and hosts PEAC in the first game 82-78. With this format, Sopron had a tough draw with DVTK in good form, but survived 62-55. Kirby Burkholder and Keyona Hayes helped ZTE come back to knock out Asia Taylor and Gyor. The day ended with an 85-65 Szekszard win over NKE. Sopron got another challenge in the semifinals with Chanise and Alisia Jenkins both firing for MTK, but Jelena Brooks helped them win 99-90. Friday’s other game was less dramatic as Ty Marshall and Szekszard built a big lead by halftime on their way to an 86-59 win over ZTE. The first game on Saturday was for third place and the teams put on a show as Keyona Hayes and Dora Nagy got ZTE the 94-75 win over Alisia Jenkins, Reka Bernath, and MTK. The final was more of a grinder as Sopron fended off Szekszard 54-42 to continue their domestic dominance.
