Teams descended on Maputo to determine which two teams would move on to the last stage of Olympic qualifications.  Things got off to an inauspicious start on Thursday when the Democratic Republic of Congo could not arrange the necessary funds to field a team against Nigeria.  The one game that was played was an excellent one though as Angola started well, but Senegal fought back to win 75-71.
