The game matching the EuroLeague and EuroCup winners took place on Thursday as both competitions went to Russian teams this year.  Ekaterinburg hosted Nadezhda and both teams were chasing a trophy and a chance to establish their reputations ahead of meeting on multiple fronts this season.  The game was close in the first half, but the hosts pulled away in the second half for an 87-67 win led by Brittney Griner as Erica Wheeler paced the visitors.
