Venezia continued their momentum with an 81-64 win over Torino, which handed professional debuts to Moesha Kinard and Alexis Jennings. League expansion meant that more teams were able to secure promotion from the second division including Palermo, which lost to Sesto San Giovanni 70-57. Ragusa beat Lucca 73-54 as both teams try to establish themselves again near the top of the standings. On Sunday, ambitious Bologna got a great first game from Angela Salvadores, but fell to Jaime Nared and Broni 79-76. Marta Gomez made her professional debut and KK Houser had a big game for Battipaglia, but they lost to San Martino di Lupari. Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah helped Vigarano win 83-77 in her professional debut as Elisabeth Pavel tried to get Costa, which got their own professional debut from Reyna Frost, a win for one of the promoted clubs, but fell short.
