Saturday’s final game was the traditional match of champions between league winners Lyon and cup winners Bourges. Lyon continued to show that they are emerging force, getting the 70-64 win behind Marine Johannes.

Regular Season:
The traditional opening weekend in Paris started with extra basketball when Hainaut beat Nantes 82-73 in overtime. Landes won 71-58, but Katie Lou Samuelson did make her overseas debut for Charleville. On Sunday, Gabby Williams and Lattes Montpellier welcomed Charnay to the top division by beating them 67-59, but Jordan Moore did make her professional debut. Taylor Wurtz had an excellent game for Landerneau, but they lost to Tarbes 67-60. Villeneuve slumped to a 100-60 defeat to Roche.
