Olympic Qualifying Places:

The first two games on Saturday were that ones that would determine the last two teams to keep their Olympic dreams alive.  Hungary did start well as they were looking for a surprise, but Belgium clamped down on their way to a 72-56 win to claim one spot.  The other game was much closer throughout and it was Sweden that prevailed in the end 57-52 leaving Russia searching for answers for another cycle.

Semifinals:

With the Olympic situation settled, it was time for the quest for the championship.  Great Britain was looking for the upset and had the early lead as the game hit the half tied, but Marine Johannes emerged and helped France win 63-56.  Spain knew that it was best for them to keep the home crowd quiet and they managed to do that with a lead for most of the game, but Serbia kept it close and then surged late in the game, but lost the lead again and fell 71-66.
