The last four teams standing met over the weekend to crown a champion. Brittany Denson and Satu Mare won the first semifinal 68-51 over Constanta. Marina Solopova and hosts Sepsi made sure that they would be in the final, beating Brandi Wingate and Brasov 103-50. On Sunday, Satu Mare was not intimidated by having to play on the homecourt of the league’s powerhouse, starting the game with a big lead behind Promise Amukamara and Brittany Denson. Sepsi fought back and took the lead in the fourth quarter, withstanding a late charge to win 69-65 with Annemarie Parau leading the way.
