All four series started on Tuesday, opening up in Ekaterinburg as Maria Vadeeva led the hosts past TTT Riga 78-45. The other overwhelming favorites, Dynamo Kursk, were led by Breanna Stewart in an 89-53 win over Polkowice. The closest game came at the home of the surprise finalists from last year as Yvonne Turner helped Sopron just edge out Marine Johannes and Bourges 66-65. USK Praha sliced through Fenerbahce with unexpected ease for a 76-54. The teams will swap venues for the next games on Friday as all the lower seeds know that they must win at home to force a deciding game.
