All four series continued in the same places on Friday. Nneka Ogwumike and Guangdong looked to be securing a solid lead, but Wu Tongtong and Shanxi stormed back late to make it interesting before falling 86-83. Bayi benefitted greatly from their rules advantage as Jelena Dubljevic was brilliant in handing Shanghai a lead before she had to hit the bench, allowing Li Meng and Jin Jiabao to lead the hosts to an 88-82 win. DeWanna Bonner was great for Shandong, but she did not get enough help as Jiang Jiayin and Jiangsu won 71-64. Wang Lili and Xinjiang bounced back and beat Shi Xuefeng and Beijing 72-71 to even the series. The teams will now switch venues for the next games on Monday as Beijing will be looking to win two games to clinch at home while the rest of the lower seeds all face elimination.
