Chinese League Round 18 December 5th

Another full round of games was played on Wednesday.  Morgan Tuck had a good game for Beijing, but DeWanna Bonner and Shandong won 78-69 to pull ahead of them in the standings.  Natalie Achonwa and Jiangsu continued their impressive season, keeping Jelena Dubljevic and Shanghai from quickly regaining momentum by beating them 89-75.  Ieshia Small’s big game helped Tianjin take a lead into halftime, but Wu Di and Shanxi seized control in the second half to win 77-66.  Rachel Hollivay and Liaoning are trying for a better second half of the season as they beat Theresa Plaisance and Shaanxi 66-57.  Dong Jingxian and Yelena Leuchanka helped Sichuan pull closer to the top half with an 80-51 win over Hebei.  Xinjiang continued their roll even without their star as Wang Lili and Han Xu picked up the slack in their 78-70 win over Liu Jiacen and Heilongjiang.  Stefanie Dolson and Henan beat Fujian 72-65 as they are a part of a group of teams looking to climb back into the playoff picture.  Two teams continued the trends of the first half of the season as undefeated Guangdong beat winless Hubei 92-50.  Bayi is still waiting behind them for a slip-up as they pulled away from Zhejiang in the fourth quarter to win 88-66.
