The first game of the season was played last Wednesday in Noginsk. Ekaterinburg did not field its complete roster, but debuted their new look backcourt and a couple of new frontcourt players on their way to a 107-28 win over Spartak. Tuesday’s lone game was played in Krasnoyarsk as Enisey got great starts from Stephanie Mavung and Myisha Hines-Allen in their first overseas games to beat Inventa Kursk 65-62. On Wednesday, Dynamo Kursk started its season after having to make roster changes over the summer from a group that had been consistent for years, beating Dynamo Moscow 92-40 thanks to strong shooting from Elena Kirillova. Spartak is looking to take back control of Moscow from MBA and started well with an 82-70 win.
