Group A:

One game was played on Wednesday in this group as Adelina Abaiburova and Spartak Moscow welcomed Teodora Turudic and Swedish side Sodertalje to the competition by beating them 73-56.  The two Polish teams met on Thursday with Bydgoszcz beating Maryia Papova and Gorzow 92-74.

Wednesday’s games started in this group as Victoria Macaulay and Moriah Jefferson teamed up to lead defending champions Galatasaray past Jade Johnson-Walker and Niki Lefkada 81-61.  Nirra Feilds led Torun on Thursday, but they could not leave Moscow with a win as MBA prevailed 86-82.

Group C:

Wisla Krakow was not expecting to be dropped down into this competition so early, but tried to make the best of it starting with a 76-58 win over Inventa Kursk on Wednesday.  As expected, Kelsey Mitchell provided Besiktas with scoring on Thursday, but it was Viktoriya Hasper who put up the day’s biggest numbers to give Tsmoki-Minsk the 68-63 win.

Group D:

Two Turkish teams are playing in this group and they squared off on Wednesday with Mersin beating Kahleah Copper and Orman 75-70.  Sepsi was hoping to start another surprise run on Thursday, but their group proved to be as difficult as it looked on paper as Stephanie Mavunga and Enisey left with a 73-54 win.

On Wednesday, Botas leaned heavily on their foreigners in their trip to Umea as Jewell Loyd, Elizabeth Williams, and Claudia Pop combined to outscore their opponents themselves in an 82-65 win.  Thursday’s games started in this group as Beroe brought Bulgaria into the competition with some solid signings, but a good game from Ana Pocek was not enough as they lost to Cukurova 89-68.

Both games in this group were played on Wednesday, starting with Gyor’s 78-67 win over Uniao Sportiva.  League-mates also squared off as Girona breezed past Gernika 80-57.

Both of the games in this group were played on Wednesday, including DVTK’s 77-59 win over KP Brno in Miskolc.  Reyer is looking to make another run in the competition this season and started with an 88-60 win over Nantes.

The variety of countries in this competition continues to improve and Frida Eldebrink and Szekszard welcomed youthful Slovenian powerhouse Celje to the competition by beating them 90-56 on Wednesday.  This group closed play on Thursday with a great game as Nymurk fended off Ruzomberok 71-70.
