Group A:

Friday’s games started in this group.  Brazil used a strong second half to beat Paraguay 100-75, getting efficient shooting from Jacqueline De Paula and excellent post play from Clarissa Dos Santos.  The other game was also close after the first half, but Daniela Wallen helped Venezuela pull away for a 77-60 win.  That sets up a pretty simple picture for the final day.  Brazil has advanced and will play Chile, which will head to the consolation bracket.  The final semifinal and automatic qualification spot will go to the winner of the Paraguay-Venezuela game.
