Semifinals:
The hosts had a nervy start against their big rivals, but took control in the second half. Cuba was expected to roll against Mexico, but Jacqueline Luna-Castro helped them fight back late before Yamara Amargo and Suchitel Avila could team up to help get an 86-80 win. Cuba will now face Puerto Rico for the championship and Mexico and the Dominican Republic will compete for the last medal.

Guatemala looked to cruising to their first win as the consolation playoffs started the day, but Natalia Galvez and Costa Rica had other ideas as a late rally led to a 62-60 win. Costa Rica will now play the Bahamas for fifth place and Guatemala’s tournament is done.
