All quarterfinals series started on Sunday. The only real intrigue was which four foreigners UMMC would select as Emma Meesseman helped them beat Inventa Kursk. The only series that is difficult to call is the 4-5 matchup and Enisey will feel pretty good about grabbing the road game 75-70 thanks to Jacinta Monroe while Meighan Simmons and Spartak Moscow will feel like their chances have decreased significantly. Dynamo Kursk bounced back from their first loss of the season well, crushing MBA 96-51 and more importantly for continental ambitions, were able to welcome Anna Cruz back to the lineup. Emma Cannon and Nadezhda dominated the second quarter to win 90-60 in Kazan. The teams will swap venues for the next game on Wednesday with all four higher seeds getting two chances to win the series at home.
