Turkish League Round 20 March 10th-11th

Half of the games in this round were played on Satuday.  The battle for the bottom half of the playoffs continued with Cukurova beating Abdullah Gul University 68-58.  Chelsea Gray and Botas beat Galatasaray 79-72 despite a monumental effort from Gintare Petronyte.  Brittney Sykes continues to provide a big scoring impact for Orman, but Jantel Lavender and Yakin Dogu University demonstrated their great depth in a 103-79 win with Bahar Caglar providing a triple-double.  Bornova notified the league ahead of time that it was not planning on showing up at Istanbul University.  On Sunday, Adana Aski made a key addition and got a big game from Michelle Snow to beat Samsun 66-54 and take a step towards avoiding the drop.  No team in Europe has had the difficult stretch that Fenerbahce has had since the break and they got some unexpected contributions from Tugce Canitez, but Hind Ben Abdelkader and Hatay returned to holding second place on their own with a 77-72 win.  Mersin stayed ahead of Besiktas in the standings after a 70-65 win.
