The Polish Cup was played over the weekend with the traditional six team format. Friday’s games started with Bydgoszcz beating Agnieszka Kaczmarczyk and Sleza 93-80. Hosts Gdynia took on the second division representative, winning 89-46. Polkowice entered the competition on Saturday, but were quickly bounced out by Bydgoszcz 77-68 as Julie McBride had a near perfect game as her outside scoring added to her usual passing skills. Wisla was forced into overtime by Kahleah Copper and Gdynia, but prevailed 82-75. Bydgoszcz was looking to take the tough path to the trophy with their third game in three days, but they still had enough energy to beat Wisla 77-53 as Julie McBride led the team again to nab MVP honors.
