Saturday started with Heidelberg pulling out a 78-72 win over Courtney Range and Herner that could prove to be crucial for survival at the end of the season. Bad Aibling edged Jennifer Schlott and Donau-Ries 78-74. On Sunday, Birte Thimm and Hannover beat Saarlouis 87-67. Keltern won 73-60 at Gottingen. Tonisha Baker and Marburg stayed in the top half with an 87-78 win over Chemnitz. Khadijah Shumpert had a big game for Halle, but it was not enough because Monique Reed put in one of the performances of the year in Wasserburg’s 107-76 win.
