Group A:

All games in this group were played on Wednesday as Galatasaray started with a 69-64 win over Villeneuve.  Castors Braine suddenly has momentum as Anete Steinberga and Celeste Trahan-Davis teamed up to help them escape DeWanna Bonner and USK Praha 68-67.  Dynamo Kursk remains the only undefeated team with a 98-70 win in Polkowice.  Jelena Milovanovic and Sopron looked to be cruising early in Bourges, but Valeriane Ayayi and the hosts rallied in the second half  to win 76-65.

Group B:

UMMC is showing more signs of rounding into form as they opened Wednesday’s action by pounding Lattes Montpellier 100-46 in Ekaterinburg.  In Orenburg, Anastasiya Shilova’s impressive shooting display nearly got Nadezhda a surprise win, but Kayla McBride and Yakin Dogu University kept their lead in the group by leaving with an 81-76 win.  A healthy Aerial Powers could be the extra piece that Fenerbahce needs in this tough group as they beat Leonor Rodriguez and Wisla 87-78.  the lone Thursday game would determine which team would end the first half of the regular season in a playoff place and it was Schio that did so by beating Avenida 60-50.
