The round is basically two full rounds with all teams in action on Thursday and then again on Saturday. A battle of university-sponsored teams saw Canberra look to be in a position to end their losing streak only to see Sydney come back in the second half to win 73-67. Melbourne looks to be hitting their stride now as they crushed Bendigo 86-42. Natalie Novosel and Adelaide stayed even with the rest of the teams contending for the postseason with a 79-64 win over Suzy Batkovic and Townsville. Other results left Perth with the chance to pull further away from the field, but they needed a big second half to do so as Courtney Williams and Sami Whitcomb led the way again, with the 78-73 result also pushing Dandenong further away from the top teams. Adelaide looked ready to complete an impressive weekend, but Liz Cambage and Melbourne had other ideas in the second half, leaving with the 64-62 win. Perth did not slow down as Sami Whitcomb and Alice Kunek led them past Alex Wilson and Sydney 84-79. Sydney Wiese found her shooting touch and Suzy Batkovic was as reliable as ever as Townsville beat Bendigo 99-62. Jordan Hooper an Canberra finally ended their futility with an 81-78 win over Steph Blicavs and Dandenong.
