KDB vs. Shinhan Bank 55-64

KDB hosted Shinhan Bank Thursday night after both teams were coming off a loss in their previous outings. KDB has struggled in the interior as they have been playing with only one post player after losing their starter to an acl tear earlier in the season. Shinhan outrebounded KDB 35 to 55 which made all the difference in the game. Scoring only 22 points in the first half, KDB could not find their rhythm on offense without their leading scorer Jewel Loyd who missed the game due to injury. Things didn’t get much better in the second half for the hosts as they put on a valiant effort but still came out with another loss on their record. Kayla Thornton led the way for Shinhan finishing with 20 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Samsung vs. KEB Hana 66-92

Playing another game without their star player Samsung really felt Thomas’ absence against KEB Hana; suffering their worst loss of the season in front of their home fans. After being down by just two points at the half Samsung was at a huge disadvantage during the third quarter as both foreigners are allowed to play together. Samsung, who have been without Alyssa Thomas for the past two games had to play with only one foreigner and it showed. KEB outscored Samsung 35 to 18 in the third and went on to win the game by 26 points. KEB had four players score in double figures while only Kayla Alexander scored in double figures for the home team.

KDB vs. KB Stars 66-73

KDB sits at the bottom of the league while KB Stars remain the team to beat. KB took a five point lead into the half and lead the entire way. KB extended their lead to eleven by the end of the third. However, KDB never gave up and came within striking range in the fourth. Lead by Jewel Loyd who finished the game with a team high 28 points; KDb outscored the Stars 17 to 13 in the fourth. But their late run came to an end as KB was able to hold on to the lead and come out with the win. KB’s balanced attack saw five players score in double figures in the win.
