All the teams had to adjust quickly to the grind of the schedule with a short turnaround for Wednesday’s games. Morgan Tuck had another good game for Shaanxi, but Shi Xiufeng and Beijing had too much firepower for the newcomers and won 94-66. Jiangsu was able to overcome not having a foreign player again as the duo of Xu Chenyan and Chen Xiaojia helped them past Huang Jiali and Zhejiang. Wang Lili and Xinjiang were also able to win without a foreign player as Yelena Leuchanka and Zhao Xuetong did not get enough help from their teammates as Sichuan lost 84-71. Li Meng had a great game for Shenyang, but Xing Jinbo and Liaoning did not even have to execute the usual plan against military teams to win 74-67. Shandong, on the other hand, ran their plan to perfection, feeding Lynetta Kizer early and often before the minutes restriction to build a lead that Wang Xuemeng and Bayi could not overcome. Shanghai needed the best of Breanna Stewart for the first time and she helped them use a big second half to beat Heilongjiang 78-66. Jonquel Jones had a monster game for Shanxi in their 76-54 win over Guangdong.
