Spain copied other leagues, moving opening weekend to one venue as all games were played in Madrid.  Al-Qazeres started play with an 83-55 win over Promete thanks to Joy Brown.  Shayla Cooper made her professional debut in the win while Precious Hall did the same in the loss.  Girona bounced back quickly from the Super Cup loss with a 71-53 win over Bembibre.  In the loss, Quinn Dornstauder and Brittany Brown made their professional debuts and Elin Gustavsson returned to Europe after her college career.  Avenida welcomed Estudiantes to the top division by beating them 82-58.  The other newly promoted team did better as Belen Arrojo fired Sant Adria past Aisha Sutherland and Gernika 80-73.  The rest of the games were played on Sunday, starting with Araski beating Alisia Jenkins and Zamarat 63-54.  The losing side featured multiple players returning to Europe from college careers in Marina Lizarazu, Celia Garcia Paunero, and Ivana Kmetovska.  Gipuzkoa beat Sedis 72-68 as Ellen Nystrom returned to Europe.  In the loss, Mehryn Kraker and Caitlyn Ramirez started their professional careers and Ariadna Pujol returned to her home country after her college career.  The weekend concluded with Jamie Weisner and Ferrol beating Shacobia Barbee and Zaragoza 90-81 as Alexis Prince also made her overseas debut.
