The first league games of the season were played on Wednesday. Promise Amukamara helped Alexandria start strong with an 88-48 win over Alba Iulia. Brasov did not have cup games to get ready, but Portia Durrett and company beat Brandi Wingate and Arad 94-80. Sirius went to Galati and beat Miljana Dzombeta and Phoenix 65-54. Sepsi is expected to be the best team in the league against as they opened with an 82-64 win at Timisoara with the combination of Ty Marshall and Nathalie Fontaine offsetting a good game from D’Lesha Lloyd. On Thursday, Taneisha Harrison and Satu Mare beat Cluj-Napoca 75-64.
