A full slate of games was played on the traditional Monday schedule. The day started with Maccabi Ramat Hen getting an 83-78 win as they are not expected to be the title threat they were in recent seasons. Nia Coffey had a promising overseas debut, but it was another WNBA rookie who stole the show on the other side for Elitzur Holon as Saniya Chong nearly willed her team to victory. The day’s next most impressive individual effort was from Brittney Sykes as Hapoel Petah Tikva used a big second half to beat Sydney Colson and Hapoel Ironi Rishon Lezion 82-76. The hosts also brought Shahd Abboud back to her home country after her college career and she had a strong start. An Elitzur Ramla team returned to the competition and handed Jennie Simms her overseas debut, but did not have a promising start with a 68-64 loss to Maccabi Raanana. Taylor Manuel had a strong first professional game and Curtyce Knox also started her career, but debutants Bnei Yehuda lost to Shae Kelley and Ramat Hasharon 86-61. Maccabi Ashdod strengthened their case to win the league after signing one of the key players from their rivals. Tiffany Hayes returned and led them to a 75-58 win at Herzliya. The hosts got a promising professional debut from Breanna Richardson, also bringing Mariam Hannoun back to the country after her college career while the visitors gave Sara Hattis her first professional experience after making her a domestic signing.
