This round is misnamed with only twenty teams involved as the EuroLeague teams get byes into the quarterfinals. This is the first round for the first division teams and clubs from lower leagues have their divisions noted with (). The first game was on Thursday as Mondeville won at second-tier side Landerneau 72-56. On Friday, a pair of second division teams faced off as Angers won at Arras 75-63. Monaco put up a reasonable fight as a third tier team, but Nice left with a 70-58 win. Bernadette Ngoyisa and Roche have struggled after promotion, but did beat second division Reims 59-53. Saturday’s games started with the youth players of CFBB facing Tarbes and losing to Tima Pouye and the visitors 90-45. Second division side Calais was able to claim a higher division scalp after Chandra Harris led them past Nantes 73-57. Toulouse looked to be in position to upset a higher division team, but were forced into overtime before Mikaela Ruef could help them past Landes 84-83. Lyon won 76-50 at second-tier Montbrison. Injuries preventing Chartres from being able to field enough players, so they forfeit their game to Hainaut. Valeriya Berezhynska and Charleville eased to an 87-62 win at Graffenstaden of the second division.
