The round started with a pair of Thursday games. Suzy Batkovic had a good game for Townsville, but Katie-Rae Ebzery and Sydney left with a 66-63. There was more scoring in Perth as Alice Kunek and Alex Ciabattoni teamed up to lead the hosts past Kelsey Griffin and Bendigo 106-79. On Saturday, Gabe Richards and Bendigo came back to force overtime, but Colleen Planeta and Adelaide prevailed 79-75. Carley Mijovic and Dandenong beat Suzy Batkovic and Townsville 86-71 in a showcase game for domestic players. There was extra basketball at the end of day as Liz Cambage’s fantastic game for Melbourne helped them edge Courtney Williams and Perth 79-77. There was one game on Sunday as Sara Blicavs and Dandenong fought back in the fourth quarter to beat Canberra 77-76.
