The season started on Wednesday in entertaining fashion as Nymburk visited Karlovy Vary and came away with the 90-80 win. USK Praha is expected to roll through the league again and newcomer Amanda Zahui B led them past Edita Sujanova and KP Brno 98-64 as Leticia Romero played her first club game since the end of her college career. On Sunday, Hradec Kralove beat Ostrava 89-55 with three players, Bridget O’Donnell, Malena Washington, and Briona Brown making their professional debuts in the loss. The game between the two teams that struggled the most last season saw Technic Brno beat Strakonice 90-54 thanks to Tereza Zitkova. Katerina Novotna caught fire off the bench and Deja Middleton also had a good game as Slovanka beat Andrea Vackova and Lokomotiva Trutnov 86-64, spoiling a strong first professional game for Shawnte’ Goff.
