Group A:

The day started with Tunisia using a balanced effort to beat Abeti Kossi and the Central African Republic 96-51.  The next game was closer as the Ivory Coast used a big third quarter to beat Cameroon 57-54.  Italee Lucas proved to be the difference for Angola again as they beat Meiya Tirera and hosts Mali 68-59.

Mennatalla Awada and Egypt beat Guinea 109-78 as the veteran presence of Nadia Peruch Niang could not help her team get closer.  Nigeria had a fast start against the Democratic Republic of Congo, building that lead in the second half to win 84-47.  Astou Traore and Senegal took a big lead on Mozambique into halftime, but then had to hold on in the second half to win 76-67.
