The final day of play started with the less important games. Italy bounced back to beat the Slovak Republic 71-54 for 7th place. The 5th place game would have meant something if Spain had not been in the top 4, but ended up being meaningless as Quanitra Hollingsworth and Turkey beat Latvia 72-63. Belgium was most locked into the hunt for the bronze medal early and rolled past Greece 78-45. That led to the final game, where Spain built a lead on France, getting the 71-55 win to return to the top of European basketball and build momentum when they host the rest of the world next summer. As expected, Alba Torrens won the MVP award as she was joined by Endy Miyem, Emma Meesseman, Cecilia Zandalasini, and Evanthia Maltsi in the team of the tournament.
