The round started with a special Wednesday game as Sara Blicavs and Dandenong beat Melbourne 78-66. The special Australia Day game was played on Thursday between the university-sponsored teams, and it was a good one as Canberra challenged Sydney, but succumbed to Belinda Snell and company 77-75. On Friday, Sami Whitcomb and Perth beat Laura Hodges and Adelaide 80-60. On Saturday, Bendigo heaped more misery on Melbourne as Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe led the hosts to a 76-69 win. Sydney escaped Townsville with a 76-75 win to overcome another good game from Suzy Batkovic. On Sunday, Sami Whitcomb and Perth prevented Natalie Novosel and Dandenong from finishing the weekend in first place by beating them 87-77.
