A full round of games started on Friday as Townsville beat Canberra 93-60. On Saturday, the two struggling teams faced off and Adelade took advantage of the situation as Tayla Roberts helped them escape Melbourne 71-67. Sami Whitcomb was back to her best and Ruth Hamblin dominated inside as Perth rolled past Bendigo 108-67. Saturday’s win for Adelaide was expected compared to their result on Sunday, where they used the momentum of their first win of the season to also win at Dandenong 80-73 with Tayla Roberts leading the way again. Canberra edged Sydney 76-73 as they still lurk behind the top teams in a tight playoff race.
